Frequently Asked
Questions
Is
NutriiVeda FDA approved?
Each ingredient in NutriiVeda is a whole food. The FDA does not pre-approve
nutritional or dietary supplements because they are regulated
as foods (not drugs) under the Dietary Supplement Health and
Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. The FDA does monitor
manufacturing practices and labeling for compliance. Zrii does
use manufacturing facilities that follow and are certified GMP
(Good Manufacturing Practice).
What is the
correct therapeutic dosage for NutriiVeda?
NutriiVeda is 100% water soluble, however we can
only provide you with the dosages that have been used with
success and approved by doctors so far. We advice that you
also check with your child’s doctor as well as FDA’s website
for further information regarding the daily nutritional
requirements for children. Birth to three - one
scoop a day (can be split into half scoop twice a day) Four to
Eight -two scoops a day (can be split into 1 scoop twice a
day) Nine and up to adult -can take four to six scoops a
day -recommended to split 2-3 scoops per serving. Most start
at a level scoop and go to a “heaping” scoop. Some doctors
have brought 3 year old children up to 2 scoops, children
between 4 and 8 up to 3 scoops, and 9 and above between 4 to 6
scoops with knowledge that NV is water soluble. Increased
dosages are being attributed to increase in surges. Please
again
consult with your child’s doctor.
Is there
a brief document that I can bring to my doctor?
You will find a 4 page printable PDF document here including
the nutritional panels for NutriiVeda
here.
How do I serve
the NutriiVeda? NutriiVeda is being used
therapeutically and it appears to be dosage dependant based on
anecdotal feedback from parents. You can serve it as a drink
with a small meal, or you can mix it into food. For older
children, teens and adults that need to lose weight NutriiVeda
can be used to support weight as well as therapeutic goals.
The following are some suggestions as to how to serve the
NutriiVeda.
As a drink: NutriiVeda can be mixed with
any type of milk, juice, or water. You do not want to add it
to any liquid that is boiling however as that may compromise
the effectiveness. Some parents add ice and even ice cream
and make it into a smoothie. You can also mix the product with
any type of fruit or fruit juice and make a smoothie this way
as well.

NutriiVeda has also been mixed into any
food such as yogurt, pudding, apple sauce, ketchup, ranch dressing
and even frosting! Some parents have sprinkled it over pancakes
or cereal including oatmeal. You can also take the smoothies
and freeze them into popsicles! Just as you do not want to mix
the product with any liquid that Is boiling, you do not want
to cook with NutriiVeda. You can add to food once cooked
once it is luke warm.

Serving Suggestions
Outside of NutriiVeda, how much
additional water should my child be drinking?
One of the suggestions is to multiply your child's
weight by 0.6 to get a rough estimate of how much liquid your
child should consume per day. A simpler method is to
take body weight, divide in half and that is the approximate
amount of ounces of liquid one should consume a day. Please note: liquid is not
just water, and is found in many foods as well.
I
read
NutriiVeda is a weight loss
product and my child is underweight. Is this a concern?
NutriiVeda is not a weight loss product it is
a weight management product that supports and strengthens the metabolic
system. In our group we have children of all ages currently
younger than 2 to well over 26 years old using NutriiVeda for
therapeutic reasons with zero reports of weight loss for
those that do not need to lose. We have received reports of
weight gain, increased muscle mass in those that were low
percentile in growth, and a sudden and more dramatic increase
in height in just about all the children. NutriiVeda is 100
percent pure whey isolate protein of the highest quality and
contains all the essential amino acids and nutrients needed
daily through WHOLE FOOD SOURCES which is the purest most
easily digestible form of nutrition. NutriiVeda is 100
percent GLUTEN AND CASEIN FREE. Because NutriiVeda is also
fat and sodium free which are nutrients that are important for
growing bodies we suggest for children serving the product
when using therapeutically for children with some food as
well. Here are some serving suggestion (link to suggestion
page) Many report sudden growth spurts on NutriiVeda. For
those children, teens and adults that do need to lose weight
the NutriiVeda will naturally rid the body of excess fat and “ama”
(toxins) For those that are interested in weight loss, please

Why does Zrii keep information

recommended for pregnant or lactating women because NutriiVeda
naturally releases excess fat and toxins from the body.

breast milk. Once the mother is finished breast feeding, she
can resume with NutriiVeda.

waste products into circulation during weight loss. These may
include but are not limited to constipation, bloating/gas,

achy joints, headaches, lightheadedness, or nausea. If
symptoms appear, decrease daily dose by 50 percent and drink
more pure water. Symptoms should diminish significantly. Mild
and uncomfortable symptoms should alleviate after 3–7 days. If
any severe symptoms occur, discontinue taking the product and
consult your medical professional. Side effects reported by
parents using Nutriiveda for therapeutic reasons are temporary
changes in behavior, “sassy” “hyper” which typically last a
few days to a week. Surges are noted during this stage.
Is the container recyclable?
Yes, the container is made from HDPE #2 plastic, which has
been shown to be one the safest plastics in regards to
chemical leaching*. Plastic is lighter and less expensive to
ship, thus saving the consumer money and reducing unnecessary
fuel pollution. HDPE #2 plastic is widely considered one of
the easiest products to recycle and is first among recycling
programs. Should our packaging end up in a landfill, plastic
will decompose faster than glass. And since plastic is less
likely to break, there is less waste in manufacturing and
re-shipping packages to the consumer. *As reconfirmed in a
recent Time magazine article and the scientific community,
HDPE #2 does not contain bisphenol-A and is considered safe
for use in food products. The biggest risks in plastic are
with #7 Lexan, which is why top sports bottles have recently
switched over to HDPE #2 from #7.
Does heat or humidity degrade the
product? As with all sealed foods and products, heat
and humidity may degrade and spoil the product sooner than the
stated expiration date.
Are there any preservatives in the
product?
No, the product is 100% natural and does not contain
any artificial preservatives.
Is the product nut and tree-nut
free? Yes, the product is free of ingredients from these
families.
Should I
continue giving my child fish oils, DMG, probiotics, digestive
enzymes and other vitamin/mineral supplements with NutriiVeda?
NutriiVeda contains 100% of many daily recommended vitamins
and minerals. If you are under the care of a health
professional recommending a particular regimen, please discuss
with your healthcare practitioner before taking this
product...but be prepared for "can I get some of this for me?"
J The ingredients for NutriiVeda are here:
http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html
The fish oils appear to compliment the
NutriiVeda perhaps because both support the metabolic system.
Outside of fish oils and any prescribed medication however
most of the parents using NutriiVeda report stopping any other
supplementation. Until we learn why NutriiVeda is having a
therapeutic effect we won’t know what may compromise its
effectiveness.
*While NutriiVeda does not have any adverse
reaction to people taking prescription medications, it has
been anecdotally reported that NutriiVeda is less (or even not
at all) effective while taking an antibiotic regimen.*
My child is
on a seizure medication so because of that would NutriiVeda be
hard on the kidneys or liver? NutriiVeda is easily
digestible and shouldn't be hard on the kidney or liver,
Amalaki has actually been know to help protect liver function.
Many of the botanicals have been shown to help improve and
enhance digestion. We have received many testimonials
regarding improvement in many different digestive conditions
with the Zrii NutriiVeda. NutriiVeda has no known side
effects or drug interactions, although we always suggest
individuals speak with their doctors before using NutriiVeda
if they have pre-existing conditions. We do have numerous
reports now of seizure prone individuals who were on
medications who have had their medications either reduced or
eliminated since being on NV and remarkably seizure free.
My child is
yeast sensitive so I’m curious why there is yeast in
NutriiVeda? The chromium, molybdenum, iodine,
selenium, and manganese yeast are all inactive and could be
taken even by someone who has a Candida problem. They are
there as a natural way to get the nutrients chromium,
molybdenum, iodine, selenium, and manganese.
Other than the
sugars, where are the rest of the carbohydrates in the product
coming from? The brown rice powder, apple fiber, and natural
cocoa also contribute to the carbohydrates content in the form
of complex carbohydrates.
I read
there was phenylalanine in NutriiVeda, why? The
phenylalanine in NutriiVeda is the natural form found in
proteins. Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid (a
building block for proteins in the body), meaning the body
needs it for health but cannot make it. You have to get it
from food. Phenylalanine is found in three forms:
L-phenylalanine, the natural form as found in NutriiVeda;
D-phenylalanine (a mirror image of L-phenylalanine that is
made in a laboratory), and DL-phenylalanine, a combination of
the two forms.
The only person that would not be able to
consume the natural form would be someone with a condition
called PKU. PKU is a rare, serious disorder that can be
diagnosed at birth and one with PKU cannot consume proteins
such as meat, eggs and dairy. For more information on PKU:
