Feedback is that they taste like a Reeses peanut butter cup.  GFCF   Easy to make and my kids love these.  They don’t even know they are healthy.  The amounts and ingredients are obviously flexible, you get the idea :)  More serving suggestions for NV can be found http://pursuitofresearch.org/products/nutriiveda/nv-serving-suggestions/

  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour
  • 4-6 scoops Chocolate or Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original

Put in small saucepan, 1.5 cups milk and 1/2 cup thickened cream.
Step 2
Stir for 5 mins or until it heats up (don’t let it boil) then take off heat.

Mom Stephanie’s NV Sprinkled Peanut Butter Balls

Serves 1-2
Prep time 10 minutes
Dietary Gluten Free
Meal type Dessert, Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Chocolate or Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Peanut Butter

Optional

  • As neededSprinkles

Note

The following recipe my daughter liked. well not just liiked, she kind of helped which may be why she liked them more.  My daughter came back to the bowl over and over until it was all gone., she ate all of them!! Nothing like sprinkles and a little serendipity to make life good again

Directions

Step 1
Use a spoon to work the NV into the peanut butter, at the end you ‘may’ need to use your fingers a bit. You should be able to make 6-8 nice round balls.
Step 2
While I did this my daughter put sprinkles into a bowl, and took each ball and rolled it in the sprinkles.
Step 3
Watch them disappear!

Mom Stephanie’s NV Strawberry Ice-Cream Topping

Serves 1
Prep time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1-2 scoop Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • As neededWater
  • To tasteStrawberry Syrup

Optional

  • 1 Cone

Note

I have had more success making NV it’s own dish rather than adding it to other food.  You can try adding more NV after a while, but I had to start with 1/2 a scoop in the beginning as I have a very picky eater.  One last thing I started doing for some recipes is mixing the NV with water. Making it into a thick paste/liquid first seems to make it easier to work with and easier to blend into foods. Stephanie  More serving suggestions for NV can be found http://pursuitofresearch.org/products/nutriiveda/nv-serving-suggestions/

Directions

Step 1
Mix a half a scoop of vanilla Nutriiveda with water to make a liquid blob
Step 2
Add strawberry syrup to thin it out even more
Step 3
Use as a sauce on vanilla ice cream
Step 4
You can optionally add NV to a scoop of ice-cream, then put it in a cone (it should barely fill the cone). For some reason, when it is in the cone, the taste and consistency don’t seem to bother her as much. However, the strawberry syrup above works much better.

Mom Stephanie’s NV GrahamMallow Treats

Ingredients

  • As neededGraham Crackers ((can find gluten free if needed))
  • As neededMarshmallow Creme
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoon Water

My daughter didn’t finish all of them so I put them up on the counter. Later, I saw my husband and one of my sons eating them so they must taste good. :-) I know a lot of you do the more healthy options, but I’m still working on variety for my daughter. I’m sure we’ll get to healthy eventually.  GFCF if you use a casein free graham cracker.   Stephanie  More serving suggestions for NV can be found http://pursuitofresearch.org/products/nutriiveda/nv-serving-suggestions/

Directions

Step 1
Mix the NV with water until it becomes a spreadable consistency (start with the lesser amount of water–it goes a long way).
Step 2
Spread on Graham crackers.
Step 3
Add marshmallow creme.

Add another cracker on top if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • As neededButter

Note

It’s good as regular buttered toast, or make it into cinnamon toast! Directions

Step 1
Let butter soften
Step 2
Mix one scoop of original vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) into the butter
Step 3

Step 4
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar as desired.

  • 7 tablespoons Real butter
  • 8 scoops Chocolate or Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • 5 cups Rice Krispy cereal

Note

I made a test batch for my boys and a group of their friends, most who have never had NV before, and they ate the whole plate. Step 1
Melt the butter and mini marshmallows over super super low simmer in as wide a pan as possible -will take awhile but that’s OK. During this time butter a Pyrex pan.
Step 2
Once all is melted take off the heat and you should be able to touch it- just luke warm
Step 3
add the 8 heaping scoops of NutriiVeda original (It is going to turn brownish even if you use the vanilla and it’s going to look like “no way will I fit all the rice krispy cereal in here” )
Step 4
Quickly add the 5 scoops of Rice Krispy cereal . Just throw in all 5 cups at once and stir (one parent made these and only added 3 scoops but said she regretted after she didn’t add more cereal)
Step 5
Have your buttered Pyrex pan ready and pour out mixture and flatten it in the pan.
Step 6
Depending upon how many scoops you give your child a day you cut it up- perfect!

Mom Meg’s Appetizer or Dessert NV Rice Balls

Serves 2
Prep time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Cooked rice of your choice
  • 4 tablespoons Organic coconut
  • 4 scoops Chocolate or Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon Stevia flavoring of your choice

Optional

  • 1 heaped tablespoon Chocolate or carob chips

Note

Not only does my son love these and is doing very well on them, but they are portable for when we travel. Getting good nutrition into him daily used to be an issue but he is able to keep these down. We carry them with us when we go out and he has a few with every meal and eats them on his own when he is hungry for a snack. You can be very creative with the rice. Even if your child doesn’t have severe gastric issues like my son, the rice is moist enough to go into a ball without being sticky and gives the balls and nice consistency.

Note: My son has severe gastric issues and can’t consume too much liquid at once.  I love this recipe because I can vary what is added, my son loves them and I know he’s getting good nutrition even though he looks at them as treats.  The recipe here is a dessert recipe.  Enjoy! Meg  More serving suggestions for NV can be found http://pursuitofresearch.org/products/nutriiveda/nv-serving-suggestions/

Directions

Step 1
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until consistency you can roll into a ball without sticking.
Step 2
While blending, add moisture sparingly
Step 3
When you see the rice balling up on the side of the food processor it’s ready.
Step 4
if you made sweet NV rice balls you can roll them into graham cracker crumbs, sprinkles or dried coconut.
Step 5
If you made appetizer NV rice balls you can roll them in sesame seeds, bread crumbs, or a bit of shredded cheese.

Mom Stephanie’s NV Ice Cream Treat

Prep time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Ice Cream of your choice
  • 1 scoop Chocolate or Vanilla Nutriiveda (NV) Original
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Optional

  • 1 Cone
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil

Note

Ice cream has been one of my daughter’s staples. There are two different ways I do this:

Directions

Step 1
In bowlPut one scoop of NV in a bowl. Mix with about 1 Tablespoon of water. Add about a scoop of ice cream. You can either let the ice cream get soft and mix it in, or add a little more water to the NV and use it as a sauce. In the beginning, I added a little caramel syrup to disguise the taste. I began with strawberry syrup, but the red dye really did a number on my daughter so I switched to the caramel.
Step 2
In a conePut about 1 small scoop of ice cream in a bowl and let it get a little soft (not too soft or it will run out of the cone). Then add 1 scoop of NV and mash it in. Add all to the cone. It should just fill the cone. If the taste is too strong, you can add a little caramel syrup to hide the taste. Two reasons I barely fill the cone: 1) less mess and 2) the taste of the cone hides the taste of the NV.
Step 3
Optional: with coconut oilPut 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 scoop of NV in a small bowl. Mix together thoroughly. Add 1 small scoop of ice cream and let it soften a little, then mix it all together. Serve in a bowl or in a cone. Should be enough to barely fill the cone. NOTE: The ice cream makes the coconut oil become a hard solid but when it is mixed with the NV, it gives an interesting texture to the mixture as it hardens into tiny balls of oil/NV. Weird, but it works.
