“My son Logan has been going to occupational therapy and he loves the swing there and it really benefits his need to be held snuggled close and to swing around but when I looked on line either stuff is super expensive or I can’t find anything. So I made our own version” ~Raluca
This was shared on our one online Cherab support group on Facebook and I thought it was so creative and useful that others would want to know about it too. Shared with permission from Raluca. #specialneedslifehack
“I made our own version of a sensory swing. Took a one person hammock and hung it from our existing play swing. He loves the closeness of it! Thought we’d share since it worked so well : )
My son Logan has been going to occupational therapy and he loves the swing there and it really benefits his need to be held snuggled close and to swing around but when I looked on line either stuff is super expensive or I can’t find anything.
I happen to have this in my basement and came across it and just had the thought to try it out and couldn’t believe how well it worked. Plus these hammocks in the stores aren’t super expensive and most people with kids have swing backyard sets so it’s easy to do.” ~Raluca
